DEPARTMENT OF ANOMALOUS PHENOMENA
CLASSIFIED NOTICES — SITE-12B (WRD-66 PERIMETER)
Classification: LEVEL 5 — RESTRICTED
Distribution: Directorate Eyes Only
MEMORANDUM: ACCESS CONTROL
Effective immediately, all staff are reminded that the 50-meter inner perimeter line constitutes a hard boundary. Entry beyond this line without written Level-4 authorization is strictly prohibited. The shroud exhibits a measurable attractive vector at close range. Field dummies positioned during the last rotation were observed shifting 6–8 inches closer to the anomaly overnight. Environmental explanations (wind, subsidence) are not supported by concurrent data.
Required Action: Daily review of perimeter camera logs and analog film records.
Note: Any unexplained displacement must be logged as a “Perimeter Shift” and escalated to the Site Duty Officer.
Personnel are reminded that complacency regarding “the pull” has been a primary cause of near-miss incidents. Do not test the shroud edge without authorization.
NOTICE: ANALOG MEDIA HANDLING (CASSETTE PROTOCOL)
Recovered media (Batch 22) displayed marginalia bleed and auditory contamination. Personnel exposed to playback for >90 seconds reported hearing their own names whispered during REM sleep and described vivid dreams of missing pages and inverted scripture.
Mandatory procedures:
Playback capped at 120 seconds per session.
Headphone use prohibited during review.
Minimum two-person presence in the audio vault.
Chain-of-custody entries must be completed in WRD-66/TAPE-CHAIN log.
All contaminated tapes stored in triple-layer analog containment vault; no digital conversions authorized without Level-4 approval.
Failure to comply will result in removal from site duty.
SCHEDULED EXERCISE: REABSORPTION DRILL
Date/Time: Friday, 0900 hours (local).
Scenario: Simulated Reabsorption Event.
Objectives:
Execute anchor-object recovery within 30 seconds of disappearance.
Complete event documentation before simulation concludes.
Practice containment protocols for personnel exposure.
Reminder: The drill is designed to test protocol execution, not competitive performance. During the last exercise, Team Bravo mishandled a recorder in an effort to “win.” This is unacceptable. Evidence devices are to be treated as active case material, even in simulation.
INTERNAL COMMUNITY NOTE — CIVILIAN INTERACTION
Phraseology associated with WRD-66 doctrine has been identified in civilian chatter in the municipality of ███████. Teenagers were overheard repeating: “We’re almost real.”
Assessment: No confirmed exposure vectors. Phrase may have entered public lexicon through contaminated media.
Action: Outreach team dispatched under environmental survey cover.
Directive: Use only pre-approved scripts when interacting with civilians. Unauthorized improvisation is prohibited.
Personnel must monitor local press and police logs for language overlap. Any increase in cult phraseology is to be treated as potential memetic breach.
SURVEILLANCE REPORT — DATA INTEGRITY
Perimeter drones continue to transmit anomalous metadata, with multiple recordings auto-stamping 1999 timestamps despite confirmed synchronization to atomic clock. Digital feeds show high error rates.
Analog film reels remain the most reliable medium.
All staff are required to submit reels to Chronotemporal Studies (CT-Lab) at the end of each rotation.
On-site development is strictly prohibited. Development and analysis may only occur within CT-Lab secure facilities.
Failure to comply risks uncontrolled memetic bleed.
SITE OBSERVATION — SHROUD EDGE PHENOMENA
Last week, personnel documented intensification of shroud shimmer visible during sunset. Multiple observers described the effect as “candlewax refraction.”
No incursion recorded.
No breaches identified.
Effect persisted for ~6 minutes.
Action: Continue daily visual logs at sunrise and sunset. Submit all anomalies to the Site Anomalies Register.
SECURITY REMINDER — PUBLIC SAFETY & COVER STORY
Civilians within a 5 km radius of Site-12B are to be intercepted and diverted. Authorized cover story: “restricted environmental remediation — unexploded ordnance zone.”
Use scripted cover language only.
Do not improvise explanations.
All interactions to be logged in CIV-INT Register.
Note: A recent ranger encounter revealed use of the phrase, “the ground hums here.” This language is blacklisted and must not be repeated in any public-facing interaction.
PERSONNEL ROTATION & WELLNESS MONITORING
All site personnel must undergo psychological screening every 14 days.
Recent reports (this rotation):
Spiral staircases recurring in dreams.
Audible “pages turning” during sleep.
Apparition of barefoot female figure at bedside.
Staff experiencing intrusive imagery, disrupted sleep, or auditory hallucinations must report immediately. Do not self-suppress symptoms. Personnel ignoring mandatory reporting requirements will be removed from duty and quarantined.
SCIENCE DIVISION TECHNICAL ADVISORY — WAX SAMPLE (EDN-01-WAX-A)
Sample EDN-01-WAX-A, recovered during Spill Event SE-09, demonstrated the following:
Burned continuously for 47 hours at a constant temperature of 333°C.
Flame sustained without ignition source; self-generating.
Extinguished only within a vacuum chamber.
Thermal energy output consistent, regardless of airflow or containment material.
Handling Protocol:
Insulated gloves required.
Remote transfer tools mandatory.
Positive-pressure handling environment.
Personnel exposed to residue have reported skin irritation and transient “page-crease” marks. All contact incidents to be logged in SCI-INCIDENT Register.
OPERATIONAL CODEWORDS (DAILY DRILL)
The following codewords remain in effect for WRD-66 operations:
DRAFT — Suspected memetic contamination (initiate containment checklist).
MARGINS — Auditory annotation or “whispering” phenomena during audio review (activate memetic protocol).
GLOW — POI-AND exhibiting anomalous resonance; escalate to Case Officer immediately.
All staff must drill these codewords daily. Command expects instant recognition in the field.
ADDITIONAL SECURITY BULLETINS
Outer Ring Patrols: Must log position every 15 minutes. Patrols failing to check in will trigger Code MARGINS until accounted for.
Unauthorized Entry Attempts: Local trespassers have increased during summer months. Rangers and hikers are highest risk groups. All breaches must be reported, even if diverted successfully.
Local Infrastructure: Town of ███████ experiencing unexplained power flickers coinciding with shroud intensification events. Coordination with local utility under cover identity ongoing.
ADMINISTRATIVE REMINDERS
Rotation cycle resets Sunday 1800 hours. Archive all notices. Do not destroy.
All expired memos must be retained in physical archive for continuity audit.
Staff departing Site-12B must undergo exit screening (psychological + memetic baseline).
